John C. Thibodeau

Principal

John Thibodeau has spent the majority of his professional career helping companies restructure their operations and preserve, even enhance the value proposition for its owners.  A problem-solver by inclination, John first became involved in the turnaround field through commercial banking, serving as a vice president and group manager for the work-out department of Bank of New England in the late 1980’s.  Thereafter he was named senior vice president for Fleet Management & Recovery Corporation as head of its asset management division.

Seeking to gain further experience, this time from the company perspective, John joined Arthur Andersen LLP in the corporate recovery services practice where he held interim CFO responsibilities as well as guided clients through bankruptcy and turnaround plans.  His experience working on behalf of both creditors and debtors has given John valuable insights into what is important in a negotiation and how best to craft a plan that takes all interests into account.

In 2002 upon returning to Maine, he formed Windsor Associates, LLC  In addition to helping establish the Turnaround Management Association, Maine Satellite Chapter, he served as its president in 2003-2004.  John has served on a number of not for profit and community boards including as chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the town of Cape Elizabeth and president of Purpoodock Golf Club.  John enjoys skiing, golf, reading about history, spending time with his wife and two daughters, and keeping the family dog from putting holes in the carpet.
